He holds a PhD in Government and Public Policy and a Master’s degree in Economic Theory with a focus on economic disciplines. He has extensive experience as a researcher and professor at renowned institutions such as the University of Costa Rica (UCR), the National University (UNA), and the University of Santander (UDES). His expertise encompasses teaching and research in general economics, public policy, international trade, and business management. He has worked as a consultant in macroeconomic analysis and public policy evaluation for organizations such as the FAO, the Ministry of Planning of Costa Rica, and the Central American Institute of Public Administration. He is also the founder and president of the LABPPIES Foundation, a public policy and economic intelligence laboratory. His academic work is complemented by numerous publications and books in the economic and political fields. Furthermore, he has a long track record as a macroeconomic and international economic analyst for various media outlets in countries such as Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Peru.
